On my recent hike in the Santa Monica Mt's., Sara and I found a cave. No joke. A small cave about 15 ft from the ground. We finally got the guts to climb up because we had to meet the cave man who might be living in there. To our surprise, no cave man, but something even better…
An envelope filled with notes left by people who have climbed into the cave, marking the date and writing a short note. There were letters written since 2001! To keep the tradition flowing, we added our own notes of encouragement and thoughts. It was one of the coolest moments of my life, reading people’s uplifting words and even funny cave man stories. I’ll never forget that hike and the hidden treasure I found that day.
